Then I baught my 2006 used with 16K miles and the difference in ride is very noticable. Ya, the six actually gets better mileage under most circumstances. And yes for as light as it is it should get better fuel mileage, but, that was not what it was designed for, it was designed as an off road vehicle and it does that well. Chrysler's number for this recall is R13. I have the hardtop so noise is not much of a problem.
Well you can enjoy a jeep and be smart about it. New seats since 2003 are large, awkward, too low, and difficult to see around. The gears seem to have a lot to do with it. I was actually looking at an F-150 when I noticed my wife clear across the lot looking at a 2006 Jeep Wrangler X soft top. All in all not a bad vehicle when it's just me and the dog out to see the country side.
Great in the winter when it snows three feet and you want to go anywhere. The 6-speed is a blast and I've never had more fun driving than I have in this vehicle. My first Wrangler was a 92, I ran it up to 200K + miles with only the transmission changed and the water pump + usual maintenance. Leaving behind no traces or footprints. I was looking for a manual transmission vehicle when I bought this one so I was happy to find a six speed.

The 2007 Wrangler looks quite a bit like the current model. Remedy Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the clutch ignition interlock switch, free of charge. That little four banger can really scream when it needs to and I actually like the four banger a lot.
I drove exactly 100 miles and put exactly 10 gal to fill it up. I'd rather have that extra money for other stuff, damn near anything! It has everything you need, and it's fun. Of the 3 Jeeps I've owned, that's the only one I'd ever known the mpgs of. Aside from all that, this is my third and best Wrangler by far. Both are 5 speed 4 cylinders. The Jeep Wrangler has the aerodynamics of a barn driving sideways down the highway. Well you can enjoy a jeep and be smart about it.
Excellent off road and in snow. Drive like a grandma, be sure to stop as little as possible meaning you should coast to stop lights and avoid complete stops. My Ram truck with 5. I would buy another one but not to use as an everyday driver like this one. The first vehicle I ever owned was a 1975 cj5 with a 304 V8 and 31's I got 10mpg I know this because the fuel gauge was busted and I had to watch my mileage. Bought it and love it.
