After a couple of tries, seemed to get a hydraulic lock. However, there appears to be a small o ring, washer and spring left over from the kit. Otherwise, bike looks to have not been wrecked, and plastics are ok it sat outside under a 'tarp' for 3+ years since it was run last. I foolishly volunteered to take a look at it. We didn't find good information about connecting it online, so we made a video. Took the easy way out, and opened up the top of the carb, removed the diaphragm, and put some Seafoam in.
Blew air through the petcock etc. I disassembled the carb and rebuilt it with a kit. The former owner says needs exhaust ans and clutch work. While back the fuel pump went out. A friend of mine has this Bayou 220 that started running bad and parked it a few years ago.
Called around looking for the replacement pump part, and local store suggested they were pretty reliable, and doubted that was the issue. Also the fuse is just fine. New plug - no change. The problem with it is it has a broken float fork the metal piece that holds the float pivot in place. I assumed fuel starvation or bad plug as the issue. I pulled the carb and its beat up just like his other bike I worked on for him the bayou 220. I originally had the clip on the needle on the second from the top ring.

I would like the use the current exhaust if I can but I have a feeling its a redneck fix as it looks like there is an ace bandage holding it to the exhaust pipe its an aftermarket slip-on exhaust , so I'm not sure about that- lets get the bike running first. The manual that arrived a short time later was far better than what I expectd, it had very good detail on all areas of repair and maintenance with good photo detail. Also checked pump, and thought that might be the issue. We don't open the books before fulfilling orders. Hope you find it informative! Have a problem I have not been able to figure out. If the boot s get torn or damaged, the pivot bearings may get damaged from dirt and water. Many owners use a coin-operated car wash.
